Northern Regards Artisan Market is excited to welcome back…
Jean and Ivy
We thought we would try to get to know our wonderful returning stall holders Jean and Ivy a little more intimately this month – so we asked them some questions…
Why do you choose to use recycled/upcycled or sustainable pieces in your handmade craft ?
I love giving this beautiful, discarded china a new lease on life. They certainly don’t make crockery like they used to and it’s a shame to see it go to waste!
Why is handmade important to you ?
Because you’re buying someone’s love, someone’s passion. It’s not mass produced and has its own little quirks and idiosyncrasies
Which is your favorite Melbourne suburb and why ?
Williamstown. My husband & I both grew up there so it holds some wonderful memories. Plus the steam packet hotel serve the best parma’s in Melbourne!
When you are not making or selling at markets, what would we find you doing ?
Scouring op shops for those one off fabulous pieces! But we’re getting a puppy on Saturday so I’m tipping I’ll be busy with her from now on!
Coffee or tea ? Wine or beer ?
Tea. But I don’t really do hot drinks. You won’t have to ask me twice for a vino though!
So come on down to Northern Regards Artisan Market on Saturday 2nd November 11am til 4 at Northcote Social Club and enjoy a vino and the fantastic Jean and Ivy!
We can’t wait to see you there!
